PEAK SPORTS JUNIOR ATHLETE POLICY

As a member club of USATT and USAB, PEAK SPORTS follows US Center for SafeSport rules and regulations to prevent sexual, physical, and emotional abuse on behalf of youth athletes, coaches, employees, and our members.

In the guidelines below, all children/juniors refer to anyone under the age of 18.

In the guidelines below, PEAK SPORTS students refer to children who are attending our team training activities and represent PEAK SPORTS or our training partners during tournaments.

  • Any adult (18+) practicing with a junior player who is NOT a PEAK SPORTS student or not their own children – must be SafeSport trained. You must complete the SafeSport online training at your own cost and provide the certificate of completion to PEAK SPORTS management. The link for SafeSport training is: https://uscenterforsafesport.org/training-and-education/safesport-courses-for-all/

  • No junior is allowed at PEAK SPORTS without a parent or guardian present, unless they are in a group or private lesson with a coach or doing activities scheduled by PEAK SPORTS coaches. PEAK SPORTS employees (managers, coaches, club assistants, etc.) have the right to ask any junior about the presence of their parents or guardians. Juniors who stay at PEAK SPORTS alone without a parent or guardian should be picked up by their parent or guardian immediately unless they are attending group or private training with a coach, or doing practices approved and guided by a coach.

  • All parents must check in at the front desk for any activities their children will attend at PEAK SPORTS.

  • Parents must pick up their child no later than 15 minutes after their lesson or any other coach scheduled activities. Any child picked up later than 15 minutes after the completion of their lesson may be subject to a $3.00 per minute late pickup and supervision fee. Late pickup and supervision fee may be charged to your account on file without sending an invoice. The receipt will be sent to the email you provided to us.

  • All juniors must wait in the lobby near entrance for pickup.

Infraction of the rules above and the rules stated in our published guidelines could result in immediate dismissal from the club without the refund of dues or classes paid.

Both PEAK SPORTS employees and Badminton advisory committee members have the right to ask anyone who violates the above rules to leave the center without any refunds due.

Overview

Peak Sports provides badminton junior group training each year in seasons of 3 months (Jan-Mar, Apr-Jun, Jul-Sep, Oct-Dec).

Required for all groups
  1. Students have to be registered to the group training class to attend training classes.

  2. Drop-in for group training is allowed only if the class is not full and has to be paid before attending the class.

Very important!!

Everyone who plays on the Peak Sports badminton courts is required to wear non-marking badminton shoes.
